Q: Which servers apply to e-mail?

Incoming mailserver: mamutmail.com
Outgoing mailserver: You can use your internet providers outgoing mail server or ours: mamutmail.com

* (If you use our SMTP you must tick: my outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication then select the option to login with the same details as the incoming server)


Important: concerning SMTP (outgoing mail server).

Multiple internet-suppliers have closed port 25 in their network settings, so that customers that have internet access through these suppliers can only use their SMTP-server (outgoing mail server).
Try to send a test e-mail. If it fails to be received then you must change to the SMTP-server that your internet-supplier uses.

Q: My e-mail isn’t being received.

There are multiple reasons why your e-mail isn’t being received when you send from your e-mail client (for example - Outlook).

The most normal reasons are:-

1.You don’t have internet-access.

2. Settings in your e-mail client for SMTP-server (outgoing e-mail server) aren’t working with your internet supplier.

3. Your e-mail has been regarded as Spam by the recipients Spam-filter.


If you check if the email is in the outbox or in sent items you will get an indication of which one of the three points above can be the reason:-

Reasons 1 & 2, the e-mail will sit in the outbox or the e-mail client and give an error message when you try to click on Send/Receive.

Reason3 you most probably will get not get any messages from the e-mail client and the e-mail will sit in sent items.

Q: How do I administer all e-mail on a domain?

Through MyAccount you can administer all your e-mail accounts that are tied to a domain.

Q: How do I add more e-mail addresses?

The administrator for the services can set up multiple e-mail accounts in MyAccount. Read more about this here.

Q: How do I increase the capacity of my e-mail?


When setting up an e-mail account the system gives a standard 5 MB for the account. The administrator of the e-mail can change the quota/space when setting up e-mail accounts or by adjusting it afterwards via MyAccount.

The administrator of the e-mail must login to MyAccount, use Advanced Mode and after go to Mail Admin under E-Mail. Here the administrator will see an overview of all e-mail accounts that have been set up, how much space that has been Allocated and how much space can be delegated to all or just one account.

Q: I will have e-mail with another supplier. What do I do?

If you will use an e-mail server with another supplier, you can manage this via MyAccount.

If you want to point your e-mail towards another e-mail server, you must change the MX-pointing. This can be done within the Domain Admin - Advanced settings.

Q: I have forgotten my e-mail username and password.

The username for your email is your e-mail address. For example. yourname@yourdomain.com

You can find the password to your email in
MyAccount - Email - Get Started.
 The administrator of the e-mail/domain must login and manage your e-mail accounts
.

Q: What is the maximum size of an e-mail with an attachment?

We have a maximum size of 50 MB outgoing and 50 MB for incoming e-mail, but you must remember that the space in the mail box must be at least the same size. Notice: If you have our spam filter then it is 20 MB for both sending and receiving of e-mail that applies.

Q: How many recipients can I send to with one e-mail?

You can send to a maximum of 1000 recipients per e-mail. This is so that the e-mail won’t be regarded as spam.

Q: Do I have to possibility to check my e-mail overseas?

You have the ability to check your e-mail from other machines and from other countries. You can use our Webmail that you can find on our website. Just remember to have your username and password to the Webmail. You can also set up your e-mail account on your mobile phone if you have support for that.

Q: Is web space and e-mail automatically included when purchasing a Domain name?

It you have only purchased the package Active Domain it will not include WebPages (hosting) or e-mail access. Contact our sales department on tlf 0800 358 4698 and they can help you with a package solution.

Q: Everyone that sends e-mail to me gets a message “Quota exceeded".

Your e-mail account doesn’t have anymore available space and the e-mail server can’t save anymore e-mail. You must clean up your old messages (in every folder) via Webmail or give more space to the e-mail account. Read more about this here

Q: Can I delete all e-mails in Webmail at one time?

Emails have to be deleted with the WebMail either one at a time or by selecting muliple messages by holding down the Shift or Ctrl button, you can move these to the deleted items simply by pressing delete on your keyboard.

TIP: By right clicking on your deleted items you have the option to remove all the content or empty the folder.

Q: My e-mail account is full even though everything in Webmail-inbox is deleted.

All folders within your Webmail attribute to the total allocated space for the account (including sent items and deleted item).

There is a setting that sends the deleted e-mails to a folder called Deleted items.
You must delete the e-mails there that take up space in Deleted Items in order to release more space.

 

Q: Webmail: Nothing happens when I try to login.

This can happen if you have a pop-up blocker. Check if you have a popup blocker on, if you have it on, then close it and try again. It is also possible that you haven’t written the correct username and password. Check that the username is your whole e-mail address.

Q: How can I get Business mail?
