It is important that you start by downloading your website locally on your PC or possibly an external unit. How to make a local copy from your Linux account: The esiest way to download your website from your Linux account is by using an FTP client. 1. Open your FTP client. 2. Type your FTP username, password and hostname in by the FTP client specified fields. Login details are found in MyAccount under Web -> Get Started. 3. The content which you want to copy is mainly located in the “www” and “cgi-bin” folders, unless you have not stored data elsewhere yourself. 4. In the FTP client open the folder on your local PC where you wish to store the copy of your website. Now start the download of your website content. Note: - The FTP client has to be set to “Active Mode” if the hostname is: ftp.newweb.active24.com. Upload to your new Linux account: 1.
